Can't Wait Willow Book Review

Recognize the authors last name Ziglar? This adorable book, Can't Wait Willow was written by author Christy Ziglar the niece of the legendary motivator Zig Ziglar's. Can't Wait Willow is the fist book in the Shine Bright Kids series. This amazing book series will teach children practical life skills and character traits.

A moms review:
I am a huge fan of Ideal's Children's Books. We have reviewed several of their books in the past so of course I jumped at the chance to review this adorable book. Plus Christy Ziglar is a from Atlanta, GA and I am always happy to support a fellow Atlantan!

Can't Wait Willow is a beautifully illustrated 29 page hard back book. Willow an adorable little red head is so excited that the circus if finally in town. But Willow has a problem saying NO. On the way to the Over-the-Top Circus, Willow gets distracted and makes several very bad choices. She arrives at the circus late and out of money. Now she wont be able to see the circus or enjoy her pink cotton candy.  Willow is so sad...but then she meets a very nice man and learns an important lesson, that sometimes in life you have to say "no" to good things to end up with something GREAT! She also learns about second chances!

This is a great book for early elementary age children. When I found out what this book was about I was even more excited to review it because both my daughter and I have an issue with saying no sometimes. I also loved the other lessons that were taught in this book including using good judgement, taking responsibility, solving problems, having a positive attitude and demonstrating perseverance.

Throughout the book there is an adorable little star that children can search for on each page. When Willow makes good choices the star is bright and happy but when she makes bad choices the star is dim and deflated. This was an excellent way to discuss feelings and choices with my children.
