5 Days Of Learning With Legos - Lego Story Starters FREE Worksheets

Creative writing has always been a passion of mine and something I am definitely going to encourage my children to do more of this year. Neither of them write very well yet so I will most likely have them dictate their stories to me, write them on a sheet of paper then have them copy it over to these fun Lego Story Starter worksheets I created.

There are 10 different Story Starters. Basically I provide the beginning of a sentence like, "In a galaxy far, far away," (yes we are Star Wars fanatics too) and then the children will need to complete the sentence and continue writing the rest of the story. There is a little mini fig in the top left corner (courtesy of Dutch Micro Figures) that children can decorate to go along with their story. And at the bottom there are two boxes where children can draw some illustrations.

Here is the link to the Lego Story Starters PDF file again, I hope you enjoy them. They are FREE to download and all I ask is that if you share them with others you share the link to this post and not just the worksheets. Thanks!

Be sure to check out my other Learning With Legos posts! Also my Lego loving son has his very own blog now, "Minifig Homeschool Adventures."

Hi Kathy -- I did something very similar to this earlier in the summer -- LEGO minifig writing prompts. I'm all about trying to encourage our kids to write. Encouraging them to be original in their ideas is key.

How do I get to this stuff? It takes me to a blank Adobe page.

I just checked the links and it opens fine for me so it must be an issue with your Adobe pdf reader. When I open it it goes to Google Docs PDF and then I can print or save to my computer!
