This month for the Moms of MasterBooks we reviewed the two newest, The Answers Book For Kids, Volume 5 and Volume 6! Below is my review about the books as well as further details about this months Facebook party. To read more reviews visit the NLPG Blog.
We love all of the books in The Answers Book For Kids series (yes we own them all) and Volume 5 and Volume 6 are no exception. If your children are anything like mine they are full of questions. And if you are anything like me you don't have the answer to every question! That is where the answers books come in! The Answers Book For Kids help parents answer your children's important questions using the Biblical truths.
The books in the series include:
-Vol 1 - Questions on Creation and the Fall
-Vol 2 - Questions on Dinosaurs and the Flood of Noah
-Vol 3 - Questions on God and the Bible
-Vol 4 - Questions on Sin , Salvation and the Christian Life
-Vol 5 - Questions on Space and Astronomy
-Vol 6 - Questions on Babel and the Ice Age
Each books are 6 x 6 hardcover books and contain 20-22 questions FROM kids around the World! The books are written by Ken Ham and Bodie Hodge! Each book features colorful images, faith based questions, amazing biblical answers and scripture to help back up the answers! The books are written in a easy to read style and are appropriate for children ages 6-12 years old (but younger children could also benefit).
We are teaching our children about faith, the Bible and that there is a God, but we don't currently attend a Church. However I grew up going to church 2-3 times a week. One of the things that always frustrated me with Church as both a child and adult was that my tough questions were blown off and not answered. Often times I was told in not so many words that my questions were a sin. Yup apparently I wasn't allowed to question things like the dinosaurs, biblical events (like Babel, The Great Flood), the Ice Age or aliens. And forget about having any kind of debate over an question. As I got older my questions got more difficult and eventually I stopped attending church because of the hypocrisy. I by all means don't have all the answers and am no expert on the Bible. So as a parent having resources like The Answers Book For Kids series really helps me when my kids have a tough question. We encourage our children to think for themselves and be open minded but in order for them to fully do that we need to arm them with ALL of the information. Now they can get the Biblical Truth answers too in a very quick, easy to understand way!
Space and Astronomy Book Question Examples:
- What day were planets created?
- Is it possible that there are living things in space?
- What about the big bang?
Babel and the Ice Age Book Question Examples:
- Where was the Tower of Babel built?
- How many languages came from Babel?
- Have you ever found a frozen person from the Ice Age?

These books are great for parents, churches and teachers. They make a great devotional too!
