E is for END
I am joining the ABC's of homeschooling link up a little late, but at least its before Z. I am actually not a homeschool mom yet but will be soon enough. This fall my daughter will be starting Kindergarten and my son PreK.
My word for the E link up is END! I am looking forward to the END of working a part time or full time job outside of the home.
For the last 5 1/2 yrs I dreamed of the day I could be at home with our two children (5 1/2 yr old Gwyn and 4 yr old Rowyn). Well that dream is finally coming true, just in time to home school them. Since my daughter and son were born I've always worked full time. I feel like I missed so much during their early childhood. Thankfully my mother watched them since they were babies so they were never stuck in a daycare center and were surround by loving family members. Last year I decided to enroll my daughter in a Public PreK program so she would be more entertained (not glued to the TV) and around other kids (someone other than her cousins and brother). At that time I dropped my hours down to part time to see how a pay deduction would affect us. So far so good and within the next few months I will officially become a full time stay-at-home/homeschooling mama. We will also be making a big move from North West GA to South East GA within the next few months.
Sending Gwyn to Public PreK also helped us make the decision to definitely homeschool our children.
I have so many fears and pray just about everyday that it will all work out. I pray that we can survive primarily on one income, that my husband finds a job in Savannah soon with decent pay, that our move to a completely new part of GA works out, and that I can be a good home school mom. I wish END would be the END of fears, lol.
I'm looking forward to the END.... the END of working outside the home, the END of other people raising my kids, the END of discipline problems, the END of living in NE GA, the END of missing my kids everyday...and the beginning of new great things.

Welcome to the journey! This is a good word to choose for sure.
I pray that all goes smoothly for your family! I will be the first to say that the one salary thing is really difficult, but it is so worth the effort! Welcome to the club!
Kathy I wrote a similar post a few years ago! Congratulations on your decision to homeschool! It is a bit of a lifestyle adjustment but you will be so glad that you did. :) Thanks for linking up! Don't worry you have lots more chances before we get to Z! hehe
That's great! Welcome to the wonderful world of homeschoolers. It's a BIG decision and a BIG life change, but so, so worth it. Congratulations!
