Homeschoool Away From Home - International Spirit Week

We had a great family field trip day...even daddy got to attend which rarely happens. We visited Rock City in Tennessee. It was an excellent, educational field trip and covered science, history and geography. We all agreed that Swing Along Bridge and Lovers Leap were very cool. From Lovers Leap you can see 7 states - Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky. Gwyn and I also really liked the Fairyland Caverns. There were lots of pretty, sparkly rocks. This is definitely a place we will visit again.

Don't forget to grab your International Spirit Week FreeBee...an awesome Field Trip Lapbook from Simple Schooling Classroom.

Stay tuned for a full review about Rock City (there will be more photos too). Rock City has a lot to offer homeschoolers including an awesome FREE educational guide book filled with details about rocks, plants and history. There are also some great experiments, projects and activities in the booklet
