If nothing ever changed there'd be no butterflies

I saw this quote "If nothing ever changed there'd  be no butterflies" on a stamp set made by Stampin' Up. It is one quote that has really stuck with me and has meaning . The word change has many different definitions and sometimes those changes can be good or bad. When change happens it alters our life and we experience our own metamorphosis (The word "metamorphosis" derives from Greek, "transformation, transforming", from  (meta-), "change" + (morphe), "form").

I know in my life I've undergone a lot of changes. I've changed my beliefs, careers, states I  live in, cities I live in, friends, hairstyles, clothing styles, pets, hobbies.......I went from being single to being married. I went from being a childless to a mother of two.

Sadness has changed to happiness.

Laughter has changed to tears.

Anger has changed to acceptance.

Fear has turned to strength.

And I've come to the conclusion that the only certain thing in life is change.

I know I am very happy that God created caterpillars and that they change into beautiful butterflies. And that I have the courage to tackle changes in my life head on whether they are good or bad!

The image will be linked back to you and I shall give you the credits to it. Thanks and God bless.

Enjoyed your post. I too loved this quote when I found it. My Mom had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and so the quote gave me and a singer/songwriting friend a way to encourage her with her treatment. Hope you won't mind that I've shared the link to the song here on your blog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKRO8yxcLHY
